Watching the Pain - IH Awareness Month - Day 15

One of the most difficult things to maintain with IH are relationships...with friends with family with significant others.
In addition to days of watching someone you love in pain, they can't do anything. There isn't a way to fix it that they can help with. They may come to the long list of appointments that can make us more frustrated with no answers. But there is nothing they can physically do but be there.
That is enough, being there. It may not seem like a lot but most people I know who also have IH have lost many people who just can't find a way to stay being there. I get it and don't hold it against people. I would ditch IH too if I could. But I can't leave because it sucks and is inconvient most of the time. Trust that I wish I could.
